Wisconsin Brewers are dedicated to the revival of Wisconsin’s brewing heritage through the production, marketing and sale of top quality craft beers. The history of brewing in Wisconsin began thirteen years before it became a state and a year before it even became a territory. By the late 1890’s nearly every community in Wisconsin had at least one operating brewery. Craft Beer Festivals are popping up all over Wisconsin and these beer artisans have master their craft. Koepsel’s Farm Market offers a massive selection of Wisconsin Craft Beers for sale. The following are some of our favorites we handle
Door County Brewing Company
Located in Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin ~ Their mission is to create beers that lead to a gathering of community and friends where ever you are. They promise to create only the best tasting, thought provoking, carefully sourced, eco conscience beers that are constantly pushing the edge of imagination and senses.
POLKA KING PORTER – Freddie Kodanko was a legendary figure in Door County — a dancing, laughing character who loved polka, his red tractor, and of course, beer. Freddie would wear his “king” outfit and play his favorite polka tunes at local festivals and parades. You always knew when Freddie was enjoying a beer, since most days he drove his tractor to the tavern. In his honor, we created Polka King Porter. This dark brown porter is brewed with pale chocolate malts and English hops. It’s a malty beer with notes of roasted chocolate and caramel—the perfect stepping stone for those looking to venture into the realm of darker beers. So kick up your heels and drink to the king!
LITTLE SISTER WITBIER – Named for the smaller of the two islands outside of Sister Bay, Wisconsin, “Little Sister” is a reflection on the relaxed, laid back atmosphere of a Door County summer. This cloudy, pale Belgian style ale is brewed with equal parts Belgian Pilsner malt and wheat. Little Sister is spiced with coriander and orange peel, both traditional to the style, plus we’ve added a blend of other unique spices to produce notes of pepper and citrus. Like our beer, the people of Door County are influenced by the freshness of the landscape and the openness of the people around them. And, they aren’t too shy either.
Goat Parade – Meet Earl and Clegg, the most bad ass goats in Door County. As Grand Marshals to the parade of goats marching behind, they ramble about the autumn landscape. To ring in the cooler temperatures, we created the seasonal Goat Parade, an homage to our two furry friends. Once the dark, smoky character of this Imperial Stout was tasted, we knew people would line up for more. We created an aromatic, high gravity ale that’s brewed with cherry wood smoked malts and added molasses and brown sugar for sweetness. The result is a well balanced stout ideal for a cold and windy Wisconsin nights. We suggest taking Earl and Clegg’s lead—it is the perfect time of year to be with friends and have a little fun. Anything else would really get our goat.
BIÈRE DE SEIGLE – It takes a certain Frenchman to fully understand joie de vivre. In the late 1600s, that man was Pierre Espirit Radisson. The adventurous French explorer wintered in Door County during a fur trading expedition and was never the same. “Oh là là,” he said, as he described the region as a place of such great bounty, whatever a man could desire was his for indulging. In honor of our rich land, we created Bière de Seigle. Brewed with our saison yeast, low alpha hops and two types of rye for added depth and spice, Bière de Seigle is a rustic American approach to a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. The range of flavors is a tour de force.
PASTORAL – It’s about your everyday man. The dirt underneath his fingernails is not just a constant but a comfort. He wakes and dawns with the sun, he farms his own land, and he brews his own beer. Not just any beer, a traditional Belgian style Farmhouse ale. In Door County, hard seasonal workers forged our heritage. Pastoral is a celebration of the seasons and the land—from farmhouses past to fields present. Both refreshing and dry, with hints of pepper, citrus and green grass, the recipe is not just about the beauty in simplicity but also the pride in tradition.
Silurian Stout – Over 425 million years ago, Door County was entirely encompassed by the warm, shallow Silurian Sea. A submerged geographic anomaly, Door County was home to some of earth’s first reefs and biodiverse life forms. A tribute to the beginning, we brewed our own rich, dark and velvety creation. Dive into the delicious depths of Door County Brewing Company’s Silurian Stout—with chocolate and dark malts, lactose sugar and a hint of coffee. Ruling land and sea, this legendary creamy milk stout is unlike anything of our time.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin ~ founded in 1985 by RANDAL SPRECHER, formerly a brewing supervisor at Pabst Brewing Company, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 1994, Sprecher purchased its current building, located at 701 W. Glendale Ave., a former elevator car factory. The new, larger brewery enabled the company to continue growing, and allowed more people to enjoy all of Sprecher’s fine products.

Lakefront Brewing Co.
Milwaukee’s own Lakefront Brewery Inc. started in 1987. The industrious and inventive microbrewery located on the Milwaukee River has become a Milwaukee landmark. Its rich history includes partnerships with local taverns, preservation of local historical pieces, unique tours, family style dining options and most importantly, great beer.
Wisconsinite– the most Wisconsin beer ever! Made with 100% Wisconsin-grown malted barley, wheat, and hops, including a unique, first-of-its-kind, never before fermented, indigenous Wisconsin yeast strain. It pours a hazy, unfiltered, straw color with a fine white head. The mild clove, banana, and citrus aromas from the Wisconsin yeast go well with the malty sweetness and fresh baked wheat bread flavors. With its light body, lively effervescence, and 4.4% ABV, Wisconsinite is a refreshing summer session beer.
American Red IPA Fixed Gear- Inspired by the energy and audacity of the fixed gear courier, Lakefront Brewery ran smack into this arresting creation. Fixed Gear is a big, bold American red IPA. It pours a glaring crimson tone with a rocky white head and a brilliant floral-citrus aroma, thanks to an aggressive dry hopping. Its immodest, malty spine and intrepid caramel flavors blow in via gratuitous amounts of 2-row pale and dark caramel malts. A balanced citrus bite comes from Chinook and Cascade hops followed shortly by mild, fruity esters from the ale yeast. Weighing in at a mean 6.8% ABV and 54 IBU’s, this one’s got an attitude.
IPA- Pours a hazy orange with a rocky white head that lasts, and leaves soft lace on your glass as you sip this refreshing beer. American Cascade and Chinook hops dominate the aroma, yielding a citrusy, floral bouquet. The hops give a nice bite to the flavor profile, but this beer is well balanced with a full body and smooth malty flavor to back up the hops. It finishes smooth and crisp with a lingering hop flavor reminiscent of fresh ruby red grapefruit.
Bridge Burner- The Bridge Burner pours a deep, fiery amber with a rocky off-white head. The assertive aroma is dominated by dry, earthy American hops: citrus, floral and pine tree notes all make a showing. The hops dominate, lending a hefty bitterness to the palate, but are backed up by the caramel malts, which lend a substantial body without any extra sweetness. A warm alcohol burn finishes it off with a nod to its considerable 8.5% ABV. 2009 Los Angeles County Fair gold medal barley wine winner.
Extended Play– Sometimes you need an IPA that goes the distance. That’s why we put together Extended Play. This is an India Session Ale, which means all the hoppy goodness of a legit IPA, but with less alcohol. Huge citrus and floral aromas greet the nose from the stacks of Citra and Cascade hops added toward the end of the boil and in the whirlpool. The flavor is extremly citrus forward with just a touch of light caramel malt, giving way to a mild, hoppy finish, coaxing yet another sip. In short, it’s a beer that bears repeating.
Riverwest Stein – Our flagship beer, named after the hardworking neighborhood in which Lakefront Brewery was founded.
Pours a brilliant amber with a bubbly off-white head. Aromas of American hops mingle with a slight floral character from the German lager yeast. A balanced maltiness with just a hint of sweetness dominates the flavor, with a crisp hop bite in the finish. A joy to drink; no wonder it’s Milwaukee’s favorite craft beer.

Anderson Valley Brewing Company
https://avbc.com/our-beers/boont-amber-ale
Founded in 1987, the Anderson Valley Brewing Company brewed out of a 10-barrel brewhouse, located in the lower level of its brewpub, The Buckhorn Saloon. Gleaming stainless steel vats brewed and fermented barley and other specialty grains to create outstanding ales, porters, stouts, and wheat beers. These brews began as a dream of Kenneth Allen to create the smoothest tasting ales available anywhere.
Boont Amber Ale– Balance is what makes our Boont Amber Ale so unique: rich, crystal malts give this beer a deep copper hue and contribute a slight caramel sweetness while the herbal, spicy bitterness from carefully selected whole-cone hops impart a crisp, clean finish. Baltic Porter – Indigenous to northern Europe, Baltic Porters historically stem from the shipping of British porters to the Russian hinterland. Unlike their British cousins, Baltic Porters are often brewed with lager yeast, which is the tradition we follow. Big & bold, with flavors of coffee, dark fruit & raisins, this black beer is smooth as a chocolate swirl.
Finestkind IPA – Portsmouth is a colonial era seaport town, so it follows that sooner or later we’d brew an India Pale Ale as a tribute to those big, hoppy 19th century ales that made the long sea voyage from England’s temperate shores, ’round the Cape of Good Hope, to the sultry climes of the faraway East Indies.
Old Brown Dog – Old Brown Dog has been cited as a classic example of the “American Brown Ale” style of beer. Compared to a typical English Brown Ale, Old Brown Dog is fuller-bodied and more strongly hopped.

Anchor Brewing
Anchor – Gottlieb Brekle bought an old beer-and-billiards saloon on Pacific Street near Russian Hill for $3,500, transforming it into the American brewery that, twenty-five years later, would be renamed Anchor.
Anchor IPA– The California Gold Rush lured thousands west to “see the elephant,” a 19th-century metaphor for the hopeful but risky pursuit of happiness, adventure, and fortune. As early as 1849, India Pale Ale – prepared by British brewers for export to India by adding dry hops to barrels of hoppy ale – was also heading west, from England around the Horn to San Francisco.
Anchor Steam Beer – Anchor Steam® Beer owes its deep amber color, thick, creamy head, and rich, distinctive flavor to a historic brewing process like none other. It is a process that combines deep respect for craft brewing tradition with many decades of evolution to arrive at a unique approach: a blend of pale and caramel malts, fermentation with lager yeast at warmer ale temperatures in shallow open-air fermenters, and gentle carbonation in our cellars through an all-natural process called kräusening.
Anchor California Lager – Anchor Steam’s® roots go back to the Gold Rush, long before icehouses and modern refrigeration made traditional lagers a viable California option. In 1876, thanks to an ice pond in the mountains and a belief that anything is possible in the Golden State, a little brewery named Boca created California’s first genuine lager. Anchor California Lager® is our re-creation of this historic American beer.
Anchor Liberty Ale – The champagne-like bubbles, distinctive hop bouquet, and balanced character of Liberty Ale® revives centuries-old ale brewing traditions that are now more relevant than ever. First introduced in 1975, Liberty Ale® is brewed strictly according to traditional craft brewing methods, and uses only natural ingredients — pale malted barley, fresh whole-cone Cascade hops and a special top-fermenting yeast, and water.
Anchor Porter – With deep black color, a thick, creamy head, rich chocolate, toffee and coffee flavors, and full-bodied smoothness, Anchor Porter® is the epitome of a handcrafted dark beer.
Old Foghorn Beer – The malty sweetness, fruitiness, unique hop aroma and high original gravity of Old Foghorn® Barleywine Style Ale is to beer much as port is to wine.
Alaskan Brewing Co.
Alaska has a rich history of brewing. From the explorers of the 1700s through the Gold Rush, many a thirsty Alaskan has been able to enjoy locally made beers. In 1986, 28-year-olds Marcy and Geoff Larson reignited that tradition when they opened the Alaskan Brewing Company, the 67th independent brewery in the country and the first brewery in Juneau since Prohibition. Alaskan beers reflect many of the same characteristics of beers that were brewed here during the gold rush era. From the historically based Alaskan Amber recipe to alder-smoked malts and Sitka spruce tips, Alaskan beers reflect Juneau’s local brewing history and innovation.
Amber – The name of this beer style comes from the German word “alt” meaning “old”. This refers to the aging that alts undergo since they ferment more slowly and at colder temperatures than most ales. Slow fermentation helps condition the flavors in Alaskan Amber, contributing to its overall balance and smoothness.
White – Alaskan White Ale is based on a Belgian-style witbier, literally translated to “white beer.” White beers, or “witbieren,” are named for the suspended wheat proteins creating a cloudy appearance in this unfiltered beer.
Summer Ale – Based on the traditional style of Kölsch beer brewed in Cologne, Germany.
Freeride IPA – Arguably the style that triggered the craft beer movement in the United States, the American Pale Ale showcases the floral, fruity, and citrusy aroma and flavors of Pacific Northwest hops in balance with a medium malt body.
Icy Bay IPA – India Pale Ales are characterized by intense hop flavor and aroma accompanied with medium maltiness and body while also being crisp and dry.
Stout – The origins of Oatmeal Stout go back hundreds of years when oats were added to Stouts to promote a healthier image than other beers available during that time period.
Dogfish Head
http://www.dogfish.com
Ever since the summer of 1995, we have been brewing, cooking, selling and talking everything beer. It’s our pasttime, our passion, our life. Since the beginning, we have always wanted to bring original beer, great food and local music to the Rehoboth Beach area.
Sixty one – Whenever Dogfish Head President Sam Calagione and his neighborhood friends gather for drinks, they give each other a big ol’ man-hug and order a round of 60 Minute IPA. A few years ago, Sam also ordered a glass of his favorite red wine and poured a little into each pint of 60 Minute. They all dug the combination of fruity complexity and pungent hoppiness, and the blend became a beloved tradition.
Tweason’ale – For our first new 12-ounce 4-packs in nearly half a decade, we replaced the classic barley foundation of beer with a mild sorghum base. The hints of molasses and pit-fruit are balanced by vibrant strawberry notes and a unique complexity that comes with the addition of a malty buckwheat honey.
Namaste – A witbier bursting with good karma. Made with dried organic orange slices, fresh-cut lemongrass and a bit of coriander, this Belgian-style white beer is a great thirst quencher.
Palo Santo Marron – An unfiltered, unfettered, unprecedented brown ale aged in handmade wooden brewing vessels. The caramel and vanilla complexity unique to this beer comes from the exotic Paraguayan Palo Santo wood from which these tanks were crafted. Palo Santo means “holy tree,” and its wood has been used in South American wine-making communities.
Burton Baton – When enjoying the Burton Baton, you’ll find an awesome blend of the citrus notes from Northwestern hops melding with woody, vanilla notes from the oak. The wood also tends to mellow the 10% ABV of Burton, so tread cautiously!
60 Minute IPA – 60 Minute is brewed with a slew of great Northwest hops. A powerful but balanced East Coast IPA with a lot of citrusy hop character, it’s the session beer for hardcore enthusiasts!
Rogue
In 1987, some like-minded Rogues had an idea to start a “Brew Pub”. The next year, a Revolution in beer began in the basement of the Rogue Public House in Ashland, Oregon. The Brewery and Pub opened in October 1988 with the brewery housed beneath a 60 seat Pub. The first beers brewed were American Amber and Oregon Golden.
American Amber Ale – Tawny amber in color with a toffee aroma, tight head, and a delicate roasted malt accent. Generous use of hops and a smooth finish.
Beard Beer– Try it. We think you’ll be surprised…
6 Ingredients: Munich, C15 and pilsner malts; Sterling hops; free-range coastal water; Beard Yeast.
Brutal IPA – A non-traditional India Pale Ale with big citrusy, hop flavor and intense hop aroma. Medium-bodied with a vibrant lingering hop-bitterness that is anything but brutal. Enjoy!
Captain Sig’s Northwestern Ale – Deep red in color, this ale starts off with a floral, slightly citrus hop nose, hop flavor soon fades into the malty backbone of this red ale.
Chocolate Stout – Ebony in color with a rich creamy head. An earthy flavor of oats and hops that gives way to a rich chocolate truffle finish.

Left Hand
“Living here in our great state requires great balance — there’s just simply too much to do! Soak in over 300 days of sunshine a year. Catch a show at Red Rocks. Climb to the top of 14,255′ Longs Peak. Catch an Avs or Rockies game. Drop into some fresh powder at A-Basin. Tee up on the first hole at Haystack Mountain. Fly fish the South Platte. With so many choices, how does one manage? We sum it up all in one word: balance.”
– The Crew @ Left Hand

Lagunitas
https://lagunitas.com/
The Lagunitas Brewing Co. was not so much an act of ordinary ‘foundling’ as it was willed into being by the unspoken desire of supportive beer-lovers in Northern California after which they continued to nurture their creation and urged us forward to fulfill the unifying needs of that same beer-loving diaspora from coast to coast and beyond. It is good to have friends!
Ruthlessly Delicious IPA – A well-rounded, highly drinkable IPA. A bit of Caramel Malt barley provides the richness that mellows out the twang of the hops.
Little Sumptin – Way smooth and silky with a nice wheatly-esque-ishness. A truly unique style featuring a strong hop finish on a silky body. A hoppy pale wheat ale that is great for IPA fans but so smooth that the hefeweizen fans dig it too.
Day time IPA – Our “Fractional IPA”, Boldly Dosed with a Gloriou$ Fortune of Dry Hops and a Toasty Malt Foundation to satisfy your every need. But it still lets you stay in the game to do what needs to be done. Available in select markets all year long and soon to be released year-round nationwide.

Sucks Brown Shugga’ Substitute Ale – This beer is a ‘cereal medley’ of barley, rye, wheat, and oats. Full of complexishness from the 4 grains, then joyously dry-hopped for that big aroma and resinous flavor.
Maximus – Flavor so hoppy it threatens to remove the enamel from one’s teeth.
Founders
Mike Stevens and Dave Engbers both had steady jobs when they decided to chase their dreams and open a brewery–which meant writing a business plan, quitting their jobs, and taking out giant loans. They figured if you’re going to live life, you ought to live it hard, without regrets.
All Day IPA – The beer you’ve been waiting for. Keeps your taste satisfied while keeping your senses sharp. An all-day IPA naturally brewed with a complex array of malts, grains and hops. Balanced for optimal aromatics and a clean finish. The perfect reward for an honest day’s work and the ultimate companion to celebrate life’s simple pleasures.
Dirty Bastard- So good it’s almost wrong. Dark ruby in color and brewed with seven varieties of imported malts. Complex in finish, with hints of smoke and peat, paired with a malty richness and a right hook of hop power to give it the bad attitude that a beer named Dirty Bastard has to live up to. Ain’t for the wee lads.
Centennial IPA- Get ready to bask in the glory of the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the citrus accents from the abundance of dry hopping. This one’s sweet, yet balanced. Malty undertones shake hands with the hop character for a finish that never turns too bitter.
Pale Ale- A testament to Cascade hops in a bottle, this medium-bodied pale ale has refreshing citrus notes and a distinctive floral hop aroma due to the aggressive addition of hops during fermentation. You’ll notice a slight malty sweetness with a balanced hop finish. Perfect to enjoy anytime, anywhere.
Porter- Pours silky black with a creamy tan head. The nose is sweet with strong chocolate and caramel malt presence. No absence of hops gives Founders’ robust porter the full flavor you deserve and expect. Cozy like velvet. It’s a lover, not a fighter.
